"From Bastet’s watch / to Sekhmet’s fire, /
A feline spirit / lifts us higher. /
Each leap, each fall, / a dance, a test, /
Landing always / on paws of rest. //
The mask conceals, / yet speaks in light, /
A deity of shadow, / sleek and bright. /
Through ancient myths / and midnight skies, /
The cat endures, / the cat survives. //
Soft purrs conceal / a fierce disguise, /
What wild within / the calm complies. /
Stray not, wanderer, / but wear the guise, /
See through the eyes / where wisdom lies. //
Nine lives in rhythm, / silent and true, /
The night belongs / to the feline you. //"

Cats have long been symbols of mystery, protection, and resilience. Across cultures, they were revered as deities: Bastet, goddess of pleasure and guardianship; Sekhmet, the fierce lioness of war; and Mafdet, swift judge of justice. Their grace, cunning, and connection to the night have inspired myths that endure to this day.
